522. Splish Splash! 💦 24x36 Bloom Vine Technique!!
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.14 дней назад
Hi all! There's nothing more never wracking that creating a large commissioned painting on camera! I was biting my nails LOL. This is a 24x36 bloom vine fluid art technique and it worked so well because of the continuous line of color! It took about 2.5 days to dry. If you try this technique, I found that it works best if you keep your puddle line in the middle of the canvas and don't make it t...
521. Testing Liquitex Fluid Paint In A Big Bloom Blowout! SO PRETTY!
Просмотров 4 тыс.21 день назад
Hi all! I'll admit I wasn't feeling all that inspired in this video, but I did test out the newish Liquitex line of fluid acrylics. Both colors (turquoise blue and aqua green) performed well and dried nicely, so I might pick up a few more colors. This is a large bloom on an 18x24 Ampersand cradled board, and I had no issues with it despite not priming it first. I will resin this one since the s...
520. Holy Moly These Colors!! AMAZING Warm and Cool Color Combo!!
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.28 дней назад
Hi all! In this video I am revisiting an old color palette from last summer to created a deconstructed bloom on a 10x20 canvas. I had this idea of adding one more color copper and then layering all the warm colors together, then adding the cool colors on top! WOW! This painting turned out so vivid and that defintely will try this again! Let me know what you think! My art is for sale at www.wate...
519. Beautiful! Wandering Straight Pour Fluid Art Technique! 1000 Below Collab!!
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Месяц назад
Hi all! In this video I take on the wandering straight pour fluid art technique! I got off to a rough start by leaving my paint consistency too thick, but once I sorted it out the paint flowed much better! I was really rusty so it was a lot of fun to do a different technique. I was asked to be the special guest artist for a FABulous group of emerging RUclips artists who are aiming to hit 1,000 ...

Hi all! Real life got in the way of art life! Since it's been a couple weeks since my last video I thought I would do a bloom vine and practice my hairdryer skills with a straight line blowout! 513. Turquoise and Gold Abstract Painting Demonstration
Просмотров 35 тыс.2 месяца назад
Hi all! Welcome to another fluid art big bloom blowout video! For this southwest color palette, I kept thinking about turquoise gemstones, and the wide variety of blues and corals colors they come in. Of course, turquoise paired with shades of gold can't be beat, so I thought I would try to incorporate all the different shades of turquoise into a painting. This painting as really grown on me si...

It was time to incroporate some earthy terracotta colors for this fluid art blowout on an 16 X 20 canvas. At 15.35 it looks like seascape and reflections of sunset. Guess you didn’t like the cells activated. The cell activator in payne’s gray could have given it more sea look at that stage. But it’s just crazy good.

    I have a couple of questions. but, first: my gosh, not a fail. Gorgeous! I'm curious why some of your videos are numbered and others, not (are the non-numbered ones the ones you consider subpar?). The 2nd question: one of the C.A.s is listed as AMS' Permanent Violet Dark + some Lamp Black. Is AMS Expert Perm. Violet Opaque on Jerry's site, the one you are using in this video? Thank you, Susan H.

    • @WaterfallAcrylics

    Karen, you're a TRUE ARTSIT! You do not afraid to take a risk, made a mistake and start all over and continue to experiment until a true MASTER piece is reached!:) just few suggestions: for a cell activator white or gold color could be used - the water ripples usually SHINE on the water surface - and instead of the black color to use deep ultramarine or deep purple (black or gray colors make the rest of the colors muddy) - also: the horizon line could be made just with free hand brush stroke (in nature it's never absolutely straight) - and the water could have some colors of the sunrise/sunset - reflecting its Beauty! Creating landscapes or nature in this fluid art technique is much more interesting and exciting (instead of just hunting for the beautiful cells combo:)

    So, I really want to know. I've painted in oils all my life and to get certain reactions like oil and water or oil and turps all do different things.

  • @louise9973
    @louise9973 8 дней назад

    How can a cell activator just be floetrol and paint. How can that activate anything. The chemicals are in all the other paints. Cell activator = chemical reaction. If all paints have the same thing, how can it activate. It just doesn't make sense. Or is it the force that creates the spread of paint, making cells??

    • @WaterfallAcrylics
      @WaterfallAcrylics 7 дней назад

      Only the last color put down right before it’s blown out has Australian Floetrol. The rest of the colors do not.

    Please tell me what the polycrylic is for? I'm a bit confused as to its purpose. I was about to buy a can. Minwax polycrylic is the name they all have, but there's differences like prestain, wood stain conditioner, and so on. Is there a specific type that's required. I would really appreciate your help to make clear in my mind. Thank you for your time. I'm a newby at this. I've watched dozens of clips. Because I'm from NZ, it doesn't help, especially with the product. Thank you

    • @WaterfallAcrylics
      @WaterfallAcrylics 7 дней назад

      The varnish is used to thin the untinted house paint aka the pouring medium as it’s usually quite thick. Minwax Polyacrylic is a water based varnish that you can use instead of an artist varnish such as JoSonja. Don’t buy the prestain wood conditioner-some people in the US use with with American Floetrol to mimic the results gained from using Australian Floetrol (the cell activator).

      @WaterfallAcrylics thank you very much for making that clear for me. There are all sorts of variables to peoples work.
